Before being handed over to their new owners, all our kittens are spayed or neutered. This ensures peace of mind for you, the prospective owner, since I bear the brunt of any potential complications. Plus, the kitten benefits by healing in a known environment. We only part with our kittens once they hit 16 weeks. By this time, they've received all their initial vaccinations and are well-adjusted socially. On occasions, we might retain kittens a bit longer. Somalis, for instance, take a while to mature. And occasionally, a few more months are needed to gauge if a kitten is show-ready. Rest assured, Sunfox kittens are certified free from FELV and FIV, as well as fleas and fungi. They come fully vaccinated, with their next shots due only when they turn 16 months.

Sunfox Somalis operates from our home, primarily nurturing purebred Somali kittens that grow "underfoot". Occasionally, we also have Abyssinian kittens and adults ready for their new homes. Our emphasis lies in ensuring health, temperament, and adherence to the Cat Fancier's Association (CFA) breed standards. We don't breed merely for pet sales but rather for the breed's continuous enhancement. Kittens not required for breeding and retired adults find caring pet families through us. Hence, we usually don't allocate kittens to their new homes until we've assessed them a few months in. Our Sunfox Somalis and Abyssinians are renowned for their delightful nature, both within and beyond the show arena. Differing from some breeders, our commitment is so deep that if, after initial shows, a cat dislikes the experience, we refrain from showcasing them further. Subjecting a distressed cat to shows can negatively impact their health and character.
