Ingredients

  • Ground Beef - 1lb
  • Wheat Bread - 2
  • Oat Bran - 0.25cup
  • Egg(s) - 2
  • Pumpkin Puree - 0.25cup
  • Salt - 0.25tsp
  • Carrots - 1
  • Flour - 0.25cup
  • Kale - 1

Instructions

  1. FIRST verify that your pumpkin puree is pure pumpkin puree; it shouldn't be pumpkin mix, or pumpkin pie mix. It should contain NO added seasoning or sweeteners.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  3. Prepare your ingredients. Tear the wheat bread into small pieces. Separate the kale stalk from the leaves. Chop the stalk into similar sizes as the bear, and save the leaves for your own dinner use (Its as good for you as it is for your dog). Beat the eggs and grate or chop your carrots as small as possible so that all the ingredients can be mixed evenly into the mixture.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, torn wheat bread pieces, oat bran, beaten eggs, pure pumpkin puree, salt, grated carrot, flour, chopped kale stalk.
  5. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined.
  6. Shape the mixture into meatballs of your desired size.
  7. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake them in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
  8. Allow the meatballs to cool before serving them to your pup.
